Steve Stone or “Coach” has been teaching and coaching students at Camp Verde for over 17 years. He has two boys attending school here at Camp Verde, and he is also a CVHS alumni. Coach Stone earned both his Bachelors Degree and his Masters Degree from NAU in 1996 and 1999. Steve has coached high school football, basketball, and golf, and currently coaches middle school football, basketball, and softball.

Coach Stone teaches Physical Education where students are engaged in active movement, learn a variety of sport related skills, and learn about health and fitness. Coach introduced the National Archery In The Schools Program (NASP) to the middle school back in 2002, it continues to be a very popular addition to the PE program. Other units that get covered in class are; Flag Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Hockey, Dodge-ball, Frisbee games, Cooperative games, Tag games, Fitness testing, and a large variety of other fun, health enhancing activities. Sportsmanship, good effort, and a good attitude are regular classroom expectations.

Coach Stone also teaches two classes a day at the high school doing musical recording and audio engineering.
